José, a traveller from Brazil, is down on his luck and is hitchhiking through the Yorkshire Dales. On his travels, he finds a “help wanted” sign pointing towards a farm run by frail, old Paul and his disabled wife Gladys, who are having money trouble due to a group of local loan sharks terrorising their farm.
