Jailbroken World Premiere at Glasgow Film Festival’s Fright Fest 5th March 2026
We’re delighted to share that our most recent feature film ‘Jailbroken’ has been selected for a special opening night world premiere redcarpet screening at Glasgow Film Festival’s Frightfest on 5th March . In addition to the cast and crew many a great Scottish talent will be in attendance.

Marbella International Film Festival Wins
Talkinglens are proud to announce that Nicole Faraday won Best Actress for her performance in our Black Comedy Ask The Cheat (A.K.A Not by the Book) at the Marbella International Film Festival 2022. Additionally we were also nominated for Best Feature Film and Best Supporting Actor for Nick Moran.
Ask the Cheat has previously won Best Feature Film at the Birmingham Film Festival and a Golden Award at the European Screen Awards. Max Abraham won Best Leading Actor fwith Martin Trenaman for Best Supporting Actor. The film was nominated for four other awards at the North Europe International Film Festival – London.
Awful Silence Premiere
Our psychological thriller ‘Awful Silence’ recently had its world premiere at the Odeon Leeds/ Bradford cinema. We are proud of the cast and crew for working so hard to bring this film to the screen. It was especially heartening to see all of the local talent receive immense praise and accolade for their performances in the film – including our leading lady Megan Paul, lead male Quentin Jones and the multi-talented Liam Wetherall.The packed audience praised the themes we tackled in the film around loss and mental health. Our aim with most of our films is to create conversation around serious topics that need wider attention.The film has been picked up by an American Sales Agent so please look out for it at a theatre or streaming platform soon.
Scare B & B nearing completion
Our latest feature films Scare B &B parts I & II are nearing the end of Post production. The crew and cast worked extremely hard to overcome the unprecedented challenge of lockdown and last-minute rescheduling. The films should be ready for release later this year. In addition, Espresso Yourself & Not My Cup Of Tea will be having their premiere screenings this year.
Coproduction Partnership With GFA
We are excited to announce our new partnership with Global Film Alliance (GFA) a collective of established media companies from all over the globe producing a slate of new high concept and quality mainstream feature films. 3 Talkinglens films have been selected to be coproduced as a part of GFA’s forthcoming slate of films : “State of Terror”, “The Gift” & “Artificial Rage” . Talkinglens Productions, is a well established, comprehensive production solution for your film project, providing concept & script to screen delivery services under one roof. With a strong passion for storytelling Talkinglens Productions, is committed to excellence in all aspects of the filmmaking process. Whether you’re an aspiring filmmaker with a story to tell or an investor looking to support the next big thing, we’re here to help bring your vision to life.
We offer film production services for short or feature films, taking your project from script to screen in a visually stunning and engaging way and at most budget levels.
Our facility offers an in-house – pre-production, production, and post-production facility with visual effects and audio capabilities. We offer on-site and remote staff and film crew, as well as a casting, location, legal, intellectual property, marketing, sales, and distribution team to provide the best creative and technical solutions in getting a movie made with optimum production values.
Services we offer for your film
- Script Consultancy
- Extensive Feedback Script Report – covering the concept, plot, characters, pacing and commercial appeal.
- Rewriting, Editing, or Doctoring – the current script in house to make the screenplay a commercially high standard shooting script.
- Preparation of the Budget – This includes a draw – down schedule the most vital piece of information for any development project. This schedule brings together the tasks and the costs of the project. We will guide you through the preparation of cash flow, re- coupment and the construction of shooting schedules.
- Effective Business Planning – for up and coming film projects.
- Complete Production Service of the Feature Film – This will include creating and attaching appropriate Cast, Crew such as Lead Actors, Director, Director of Photography, Editor, Composer, Production Services, Music Supervision, Post Production/VFX and PR.
- Arrange Product Placement deals for feature films with big industry players.
- Representation of the Film – at public promotional media events such as festivals, premieres and interviews. All of these are subject to our availability.
- Secure Worldwide Sales Agent/ Distributor – for representation for the feature film.
INTERNSHIPS & TRAINING
Internships & Work Experience Talkinglens is very passionate about encouraging new talent to find a foothold in the industry and to this end we always aim to offer opportunities to initially Yorkshire based talent and try to promote the region as much as possible. We offer regular structured work placement , trainee and internship schemes independently and formally for students from The Northern Film School, Leeds Beckett, University of Leeds, York University, York St John, Leeds Trinity, Salford and Edgehill University.We ensure that throughout the year and on all our productions newcomers to the industry and graduates are given internships, work placement opportunities and assisting roles. Through the Talkinglens Academy we offer workshops and classes on a variety of topics, to help bridge the gap between education and the industry. Training – Talkinglens Productions is dedicated to supporting the next generation of filmmakers.
We offer a range of specialist practical and intensive short media courses. These courses have been devised to suit the independent filmmaker individually. However, quite uniquely they can also be combined as a package to cover every crucial aspect of the film-making process for the independent filmmaker.
The course content is aimed at the independent media practitioner or filmmaker who seeks practical intensive knowledge in a particular specialist discipline of the film and television industry in a short space of time.
The courses are delivered by practising media industry professionals experienced in drawing upon their vast and up to date knowledge of the industry but also possessing talent for teaching their craft.

This enables private investors to benefit from generous tax breaks* including a year one Income Tax rebate worth between 30% and 50% of the value of any investment in our films. SCRIPT CONSULTANCY
Script Reading At Talkinglens we have a range of script specialists who’s interests, experience and knowledge covers all genres of film and television. The expert who we feel will be best suited to your script’s genre, will provide you with a full report and breakdown of the script with constructive and analytical feedback as well as proof reading.
